His personal life, his struggles, challenges, success and ultimate tragic death is indeed a big loss to Benue music industry and the people of Igede in particular. The Benue film industry will surely produce a biopic chronicling the life and times of this her musician

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace with the Lord (Amen/Ameen)
ODANI 3ISH

Another great artiste the Benue Entertainment Industry will never bid Farewell to in a hurry is Odani 3ish (The Benue Rap goddess)
The 200 level undergraduate of Benue state University died just when she was about to rise to fame.
Odani 3ish registered her presence in the Nigerian music industry when she stole the 2face’s annual Makurdi show popular called “Makurdi Rocks” With her electrifying performances, stunning and beautiful looks.
No wonder, 2face in his words after the show, attested that she was the best and sickiest female rapper Benue have ever seen (2baba’s rating) after her performance. Getting this big YES! from Nigerian number one music legend (2baba) is the highest level of opportunity any upcoming artiste could have
Following 3ish death and burial, the Benue Entertainment Industry was put into a mourning and a chaotic situation but suddenly, their hope rises again and the various artistes ignited a movement they called: “Benue Entertainment Industry Stands Still….Forever Anita Ogbode (Odani 3ish)”

This movement led to THE ODANI 3ISH OFFICIAL TRIBUTE SONG after many independent artistes across Benue and beyond have recorded theirs all in the honor of the Benue Rap goddess
The Benue Entertainment Industry having consoled herself, put together it’s finest artistes on an epic piece in memory and honor of Odu Anita Ogbode popularly known as Odani 3ish.
The song was really a sober reflection and through the lyrics and melody impressed in the song, you can feel the love and warmth she spread in her life time.
The various artistes in the tribute song includes: Meddy X Mark Owi X Runz X Rapizo X Roy P X Adakole William X Eleesha and Abisendiza. The song was Produced By Makurdi based best producer Double G (Now working with Simi)
3ish before her sudden death, was leaving with Annie (2face’s wife) after she became her favorite from the Makurdi Rocks show.

PETER

Sadly again, on the 3rd. of August 2020, the Nigerian entertainment industry lost one of its fast rising artiste’s manager called Peter Obaike popularly known as Star P
Star P who earlier complained of having stomach indigestion for about a week to his close friend Typa, went for a medical checkup and was admitted.
All of a sudden i received a call that says he’s dead, the Nigerian singer @Typa confirming the incident to Naijaloud in a live chat.
His death shook his colleagues alongside music lovers who hold the belief that he’s paving the way for many upcoming artistes from Benue and beyond
His remains will be buried in his home town, Oluyor village Odiapa in Obi LGA of Benue state.
Artistes have taken to social media handles to remember the great kind hearted manager that has been using his hard earned cash to support upcoming artistes in the industry

STARLEX

This post won’t be complete without the mention of this very talented young Benue raper/singer ‘Starlex’
Starlex was a young promising rapper signed under the popular record label, Igede Boyz Nation (IBN)
The rapper whose full name is Godsent Ode died Oct. 7th and Was buried Oct. 10th in 2018
He started his career as a member and the No-2 rapper in IBN after the No-1 rapper and founder Kelvin Omache aka Vincho
Starlex’s career ambitions were tragically cut short as he passed on at the general Hospital Oju, Benue state after a long illness.

Before his death, Starlex had precisely 6 recorded studio songs with his record label and preparations were ongoing for the release of his debut album before the sudden demise
A good number of Igede-born entertainers died yearly as far back as we can remember and also as recent as just recently.
Worthy to mention in this post too is James Ijere and Ajah Fancy (Upa laka dede crooner) of blessed memories. Recently Ajah’s first son visited me and I tell you he’s ready to continue with his father’s business
Having let the cat out of the bag about Ajah Fancy’s son and rebirth, May God grant all Igede entertainment falling heroes eternal rest!
