Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has invited the Department of State Security (DSS) to work with the police to investigate the mysterious death of a 27-year-old musician, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Imole Aloba better known as Mohbad.

Sanwo-Olu in a statement on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, said his government has been “working behind the scenes with relevant authorities, and keenly following the ongoing investigations.

The death of the rising artiste, who mysteriously died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, has been a hot topic on social media since his passing as Nigerians call on the police to unravel the cause of his death.

In his statement, the Lagos State Governor said he invited the DSS to boost police investigations on Mohbad’s death, adding that anyone who played a role in the singer’s death would face the law.

In order to boost the investigations, I have invited the Department of State Services (DSS) to join the investigation and widen the dragnet with inter-agency collaboration and use of best in class technology to unearth the truth.

I have instructed that all those who may have played any role whatsoever in any event leading to the death of MohBad be made to face the law after a thorough investigation,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The governor also pleaded with those who may have vital information that may assist the investigation process to avail the police and the DSS with such.

“I have also appealed to the investigating team to guarantee the confidentiality and protection of all witnesses who may come forward with vital information or indicative evidence that may assist the process. The Police and the DSS have promised to brief the public on their efforts periodically,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The governor, therefore, called on all friends and fans of the deceased to stay calm and refrain from making inflammatory utterances and prejudicial conclusions on the matter.

He said staying calm and following the process would be their most solemn tribute to the memory of Mohbad.

Sanwo-Olu also commiserated with family, friends, colleagues, and fans of the singer, saying he wished love and light.

Bella Shmurda and Mohbad decided to drag Naira Marley

opular Nigerian musicians Bella Shmurda and Mohbad mocked their colleague Naira Marley in a video where they called one of his most recent songs, “Vawulence,” a bad track.

As they drag Naira Marley into dirt with their full chests, Bella Shmurda and Mohbad announced this during an Instagram live session with their friends and followers.

Recall that Mohbad left Naira Marley’s record company, “Marlian Records,” after repeatedly accusing the “Kojosese” crooner and his team of wanting to take his life while sharing videos of some of his body parts getting hurt and being sent to the hospital.

However, Naira Marley refuted Mohabd’s tweet in a post because he claimed that Mohbad was under the influence of dangerous drugs and that the incident was a “family problem.”

That was only the beginning, though, as Mohbad later filed for contract termination and released the song “Tiff,” which has a diss track for his former employer Naira Marley and asks rhetorically, “Why is Naira coming down?”

Naira Marley responds by recording a diss track titled “Violence” in which he throws sub at Mohbad and tells him to suck his mother since he is a rudeboy, demonstrating the street in him.

In the meantime, Bella Shmurda and Mohbad decided to drag Naira Marley when they were on an IG live session in the widely circulated video. Bella Shmurda said that the Naira Marley diss song “Violence” is significantly worse in the video.

Bella went on to say that Naira Marley had lost his musical charm and continued to make lyrical fun of him while Mohbad chuckled nonstop.

Mohbad: Zinoleesky’s house, cars bought under Marlian Records – ID Cabasa alleges

Following the heartbreaking loss of Nigerian musician, Mohbad, music producer and singer, Olumide Ogunade, professionally known as ID Cabasa, has shared unprecedented insights into the Marlian Record label, owned by Naira Marley.

DAILY POST recalls that Mohbad died last week Tuesday under suspicious circumstances, with the social media space agog with the news of the singer’s death.

However, his former record label boss, Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry have been accused of having a hand in Mohbad’s death.

A series of documents and videos of the duo subjecting the late singer to relentless bullying for leaving the Marlians Record had surfaced on the internet.

Reacting to the controversies during an Instagram live session on Monday night, ID Cabasa decried the alleged mistreatment that Naira Marley subjects his signees to within the confines of his record label.

The music producer alleged that the car and house Zinoleesky, one of Naira Marley’s signees had procured in recent years were bought under the label’s name, rather than in Zinoleesky’s personal name.

“I started hearing a lot of things coming from that label, that even some of the things that were bought for Zinoleesky, the house, the cars were not bought in the boy’s name.

“That’s wickedness from the highest order.”
