John Cena acknowledges Roman Reigns and LA Knight.

To kick off the season premiere of WWE SmackDown on October 13, John Cena came face-to-face with a returning Roman Reigns. Cena explained that he isn’t here to challenge Reigns because he hasn’t earned it yet, but someone else has.

LA Knight then came down to the ring and shared words with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion until Jimmy Uso snuck in and tried to attack Knight, almost as if to impress The Tribal Chief. However, Knight dumped Uso out of the ring and seemed poised to take on Reigns on the spot.

Reigns opted to leave the ring and had Solo Sikoa return to the apron to staredown Knight before the challenge was laid out for Knight vs. Sikoa to take place later in the night.
