FC Porto tactician Sérgio Conceição shared his thoughts on future opponents Arsenal following his squad’s defeat of Portimonense whom they beat 3-0.

Arsenal and FC Porto are to lock horns today in the Champions League tussle, and the coach talked about his plans at a post-match interview published by fcporto.pt.

‘Soon I will start looking at footages of Arsenal,’ he said. ‘It will be an extremely difficult game for us and we always have to give a good response as a team.’

One takeaway from the gaffer’s comments was that he would not underestimate the Gunners who rank number one in the Premier League during their encounter.

Speaking on the future match which is an opportunity for FC Porto to reach the Champions League quarter finals, the coach said the following:

‘The focus is now Arsenal, but the first step to winning is to respect the opponent and know the difficulties we will face.

‘It’s a fair win, we scored three goals and missed a few more. The important thing is the work and attitude, and in this the players were tireless and fantastic.’

FC Porto themselves are not doing badly themselves in the Liga Portugal, holding the third position.

The match will be a brawl between giants.
