FULL-TIME, Barcelona 3-1 Napoli: Barça made a phenomenal start, had to suffer for 45 minutes, but finished strong and earned a tough but deserved win. Onto the quarter-finals for the first time in four years, and now we can only hope for a nice draw. Well done, boys!

83’ GOAL!!!!! Barcelona 3-1 Napoli (Lewandowski): IT’S THREE!!!! Barça restore their two-goal lead and take a major step towards the quarter-finals as Sergi Roberto makes a beautiful one-two with Ilkay Gündogan and gives Robert Lewandowski the easiest of tap-ins. A fantastic team goal, and qualification is almost assured.

68’ GOAL DISALLOWED: Lamine Yamal makes it 3-1 as he taps in a shot from Sergi Roberto following a corner, but the youngster was offside and the goal is correctly ruled out.

HALFTIME, Barcelona 2-1 Napoli: Barça made a sensational start, scored twice and could have scored more before losing all of their edge and intensity and allowing Napoli back in the game. The home team is still going through as it stands, but the second half promises to be very tense.

30’ GOAL, Barcelona 2-1 Napoli (Rrahmani): Napoli are back in the game. The visitors build down the right wing, and Matteo Politano’s cross finds the run of Amir Rrahmani from deep and the center-back hits the bottom corner.

17’ GOAL!!! Barcelona 2-0 Napoli (Cancelo): BARÇA DOUBLE THE LEAD!!! Lamine Yamal starts a counter-attack and finds Raphinha who cuts inside on his right foot and fires a shot against the post, but João Cancelo is quickest to the rebound and Barça score twice in two minutes!!!

A fantastic start is rewarded with an early goal as a great passing sequence down the left ends with an assist by Raphinha, a gorgeous dummy by Robert Lewandowski and a perfect finish by young Fermín López to put the home team in front!

The most important match yet in the beautiful temporary home of the world’s greatest club in the capital of Catalonia takes place tonight as Barcelona welcome Napoli for the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie. After a draw in Italy the tie is beautifully poised as both teams fight for a spot in the quarter-finals and Barça will look to use the home field advantage to overcome their crucial absences and find a way to advance to the Last Eight for the first time in four years, but it won’t be easy against a Napoli side in much better form since their first meeting three weeks ago.
